Create an invoice

Bill a customer for goods or services they'll pay for later. The invoice shows in your receivables until it's paid.

  1. Go to Revenue → Invoices and click Create Invoices → Create manually.

    Create Invoices menu

    • Split account: share the revenue across two accounts.

What happens in your books

When you create the invoice, Tyms records the sale in the revenue account on each line and the amount owed in Account receivable. When the customer pays, the balance moves from receivables to your bank or cash account.

Can't save?

The yellow banner at the top of the form lists what's missing, for example Item on each line, Category on each line or Price on each line.
